Its aqueous solution has hygroscopicity, and heating will decompose and produce ammonia and carbon dioxide gases. Has deliquescence and strong moisture absorption. Stability is better than caustic soda (koh), but lower than aluminum sulfate (na2s04) and sulfur trioxide (so3). Insoluble in liquid ammonia and glycerol without precipitation.
